  • The Obamanation of Desolation

Obama has achieved cult status, as one customer's photo at a Borders book display testifies. So what else is new? He's just declared June "Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month." It's kind of a long title, maybe "Abomination Month" would better summarize the main idea. Though about 50% of the world, including Jews, Christians and Muslims have convictions against these views, Obama says he’s "joined efforts with the United Nations" to "decriminalize" these lifestyles "around the world," which means... the new criminals will be any people who express views to the contrary, as already evidenced in Canada and Sweden. Oi, just Oi.

The Bible defines homosexuality as an abomination in the Old Testament (Lev 18.22) and New Testament as well (I Cor 6.9, Rom 1.24). Jesus defined "marriage" in terms of a "man" and  "his wife" (Mar 10.7) affirming what Moses wrote in Genesis 2.24. It should be emphasized that we, as Christians, are to love the sinner and hate the sin. I have no hatred for homosexuals but I believe that genuine Christian love means being honest with people. I Corinthians 6.9 shows a person practicing this lifestyle in outright rebellion against God will not enter God's kingdom. Actually, any sin will keep you out of heaven, but that's another subject.

Many argue that homosexuality is found in nature, therefore it's justified. But you also find filicide, matricide, and cannibalism in nature. Does that mean it’s OK to kill your offspring and mother and eat them? In reality, humans have a unique spiritual nature, and moral consciousness.

Anther pro-gay argument offers that it's a genetic trait. But if that’s true there would be approximately the same percentage of homosexuals throughout history. But what you find are dramatic behavior shifts. Edward Gibbon described the situation in ancient Rome, that “of the first fifteen emperors Claudius was the only one whose taste in love was entirely correct” (i.e., not homosexual). Historians Polybius, Toynbee, Gibbon, and the Apostle Paul link homosexuality with the moral decay prevalent before a civilization’s collapse. Toynbee went on to say “Of the twenty-two civilizations that have appeared in history, nineteen of them collapsed when they reached the moral state the United States is in now.”

Interestingly, Russia is one of the few (if only) countries these days obviously demonstrating they do not support the gay agenda. They recently broke up a gay pride parade in Moscow during the Eurovision song contest. The roots of this attitude are explained in the article "Bolsheviks ‘Gay Pride’ Disaster and its Lesson for America" at this link. Apparently, after the Bolshevik revolution, there was an anything goes attitude and so many people became gay that society was completely disrupted and the population statistics began to plummet. After that, the Bolsheviks, of all people, began to re-affirm traditional family values.

While running for office, Obama portrayed himself as a practicing Christian in the United Church of Christ, who said he wanted to read the Bible more but didn't have much time on the campaign trail. For the most part, he denied any influence from his Muslim father and schooling. Now, he is working against the spiritual convictions of Christians, Jews and Muslims while at the same time trying to pander to the Muslims by highlighting his Muslim education and upbringing. Who is the real Barack Obama? He is someone ready to lie at the drop of a hat to please the crowd or his puppet masters. If you want to know what Obama is really all about, check out the DVD "The Obama Deception" which came out this year. It documents his subservience to the military-industrial complex, the Bilderberg Group and the basic NWO agenda.

Obama's  main campaign promise was to work immediately to bring troops home from Iraq. Now there's an 18 month plan, and even then, 10,000 troops are to remain, just in case. He said "I want to end the mindset that got us into war" and yet he kept Bush's Robert Gates on as defense secretary and many on the left were equally shocked to learn that “Not a single member of Obama’s foreign-policy [and] national-security team opposed the war,” wrote magazine "The Nation."

The Book of Proverbs lists seven abominations that God detests and lying and the shedding of innocent blood top the list (Pr 6.16). So far, these have been Obama's fortes in office. The DVD covers the top lies, but it's a running list. Obama ran as the "anti-war" candidate and promised to shut down Guantanamo, including the torture practices and sham military tribunals. But now he says he wants to reform them and continue the same illegal indefinite detentions, just minus the torture. The process of kidnapping suspects and shipping them to various oversees prisons will also continue. Instead of investigating and prosecuting those in the Bush administration responsible for grossly breaking the Geneva Convention, he is is continuing the previous administration's claim of “sovereign immunity,” that the government is legally above the constraints of the US Constitution and has impunity. Thus, the illegal wiretapping will continue. Obama has yet to sign into law whistle blower protection he promised for those who give information regarding executive branch illegalities.

There was, however, a unique promise Obama didn't forget to keep, reported USA Today: "I am taking my wife to New York City because I promised her during the campaign that I would take her to a Broadway show after it was all finished." The estimated cost of the night in the Big Apple for taxpayers, while many are losing their homes? "at least $24,000." according to the NY Post.

In terms of taking innocent life, Obama's abortion record is already the bloodiest and most aggressive of all US presidents to date. He said we wanted to "make up for lost ground" regarding stem cell research, which includes the use of human fetuses or "embryo harvesting."

Planned Parenthood is 30% government funded. Interestingly, if the founder, Margaret Sanger, had her way, Obama never would have been born: "We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population." (Sanger's letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 12/19/39)

There's another kind of abomination described in the scriptures, "the abomination of desolation" Jesus prophesied of in Matthew 24.15, which entails the literal worship of a charismatic political leader, the Antichrist, within the future Jewish temple in Jerusalem. According to scripture, the identity of the Antichrist will not be revealed until after the rapture of the church (II Thess 2.8-9). We don’t know who this person will be, but Obama gives somewhat of a foretaste. At a pre-election fundraiser, Obama compared his "savior status" to Jesus Christ saying "I was not born in a manger..." He attributed his stem cell research goals to former Superman actor Christopher Reeve, but didn't miss an opportunity to pose as Superman himself in a photo.

Daniel described some other characteristics of the future world leader. He said the world leader will gain power though promoting peace and using intrigue (11.31) and that he will not “regard…the desire of women" (11.37)  implying this person will practice homosexuality. All things considered, in honor of "Abomination Month," or "Obamanation Month," let's set aside some time NOT to promote homosexuality but to celebrate our families. Also, may we not lavish adulation on a man with a savior complex, but rather worship the true Messiah and Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. And lastly, let us not fear what men may do to us but let us stand in awe of our majestic and powerful Creator as we continue to speak the truth in love. Christianity is remarkable in that we are called to pray for all those in authority, including presidents who seem downright despotic (I Tim 2.1-2) and demonstrate love to our enemies, no matter what kind of actions they may commit (Mat 5.44).

(After the writing of this article, the birth certificate scandal continues to undermine Obama's authority. Prior to actually entering a legal court case in July, the US military upheld an officer's request to refrain from combat due to Obama's questionable status as Commander in Chief. In essence, the US Military is in agreement with Stefan Cook, the soldier. According to the US Constitution, a US president must be born in the US. But Obama has never produced the long form birth certificate, as other presidents have, which is what many have depositioned the president for in order to remove any questions. But he has refused to produce it. At best, he is a poor example of the "transparency" he promised in his election campaign. At worst, he is not eligible to be president and At worst, he is not eligible to be president and should never have run for office.

On September 14, Obama became the first US President to chair the United Nations. Yup, you guessed it, the US Constitution forbids it. Maybe that's why he wants to do it. Section 9 of the Constitution says:

"No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

You hit on some rather obvious politically incorrect matters and these things need to be considered in terms of Bible prophecy. Our youth are largely 'joyless' as 'Charly' would say (remember the movie?). Brave new weapons, TV in every room (even on the internet there is rampant TV like downloads); and, indeed drones replacing pilots, et al, and subjection of will by force. Jesus said all those who live by the sword, 'shall die by the sword' but if you are willing to die by the sword you might as well do it with gusto. We does that leave us?..sorrow...'the beginning of sorrows' if you will. So true indeed "let us not fear what men may do to us..."  I'm finding that to be very true for me right now, but with God's help, let me proclaim the truth of the Gospel in love.

  • templestream

@edire - Political correctness is always a one way street, which points directly away from Christianity. Everything is off limits, critically speaking, except for Christianity. Jesus laid it out, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.." John 15.18 Maybe someone will really hate me after this kind of article, or maybe it may help to bring some kind of revelation or conviction, God knows. I believe there was some reason for the inspiration to write it.

That's a good point about the increasingly stressed and depressed young people. The EMOS came at the right time,  'the beginning of sorrows.' Maybe more people will start seeing their need for God. If you're an EMO reading this, check out Matthew 24.8. As Edire wrote, love is the final word and God always gets the last word in.

Freedom of Speech means that if we do not agree with them or they with us we should still be free to speak and discuss, as long as there is not criminal acts of hate against the opposing side. I mean, Jesus did also says - "love your enemy" but he did not say  "accept whatever they say/do"

  • templestream

@Doubledb - "Freedom of Speech means that if we do not agree with them or they with us we should still be free to speak and discuss" I totally agree but that's not the way it is in Canada or Sweden. You get jail time for expressing the opinions of the scriptures. Do a search on pastor, Canada, Sweden, homosexual, jail. These are previews of coming attractions.

  • Doubledb

@templestream - As I think about people persecuted in other countries and look at Paul and Jesus words in scripture concerning persecution, it does not seem like something we should fear but something we should pray for and welcome to some extent. More people come to the gospel when they see devotion than when they see Christians who act like hypocrites, maybe we have been hypocrites for too long and such things will weed our the real Christians from those who only claim Christ.

But do not get me wrong, for me now these are only words, bold words.. and these would only ever be proven by actions, ones I pray and hope I would make for Christ if that time came... Sometimes as a Christian when people complain about being sent to jail and how unfair it is I see an oppurtunity, one that will confront Christians and our country with the gospel as true Christians rise and stand firm on their convictions despite what politics or tolerance tells us. If anything, we should also not only see this as a chance to stand for Christ but also to stand for freedom or speech and religion. If the KKK can have parades and talks about things we despire, should Christians not have the same freedom to proclaim what we claim to be true. Tolerance must be on both sides of freedom of speech, not only one. So, in my heart I am not worried about persecution, only worried I would maybe not stand up when and if need be.

@Doubledb - I've heard testimonies of how people have experienced new levels of God's grace as they've gone through deeper trials. In Japanese industry they have a technique called "just in time," whereby the materials and parts arrive at the factory just in time for the assembly process. It kind of reminds me of God's grace, always enough and always just in time. This is backed up by scripture: "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me." (I Cor 12.9 NASB) Another example of God's just in time technique: "So keep this in mind: do not worry in advance about what to answer, for I will give you words and wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to withstand or contradict." (Luke 21:14-15)

    hey rick -
interesting news.  i was reminded of a post on homosexual marriage i put up late last year duing the prop 8 thing. i think we need to be a clear about homosexuality being sin as we are fervent about really loving and reaching out to the gay community with the Gospel.  too often Christians are so concerned with calling a spade a spade, they are ready to tread on every gay person around to do so.

on another note, i'm pretty sure obama promised to send MORE troops to afghanistan during his run, so that's more like keeping his promises, isn't it?

  • templestream

@benjamin morrison - Hey Ben, you have good points. I was already thinking of adding that very idea of loving the sinner and hating the sin, you confirmed it for me. Gays are usually offended because they don't see it as sin or even as a behavior issue but as their primary identity. Even certain denominations are claiming it's not a sin, and just accepting it, so for me that's one of the main issues. On the internet many gays profess they are in line with the Bible, saying it's only forbidden in the OT, or whatever, so the main idea was to show that's simply not true. It's not the same as eating crabs or playing golf on the Sabbath. I did also want to go for the direct approach, considering all the political correctness forbidding this type of discussion in many types of environments.

I'll look into the Afghanistan question. My impression was that Obama ran mainly on an "anti-war" platform.

  • quest4god@revelife

Whoever or whatever is causing it - doesn't matter - there is a proliferation of homosexuality sympathy which leads to more and more young people ( who are prone to "jump on the bandwagon" or do the "in thing" ) believing that even if it is wrong, it is cool.

This is what bothers me, that we as Christians are called to be salt and light which should also mean enlightening.  The dangers of homosexuality for individuals as well as society are endemic to that sin - there's no getting around it.  Yet we are being muzzled or threatened with penalties if we speak out, even in love.  I would tend to sound more on the unloving side if it were not for the urging of the Holy Spirit and His tempering  of my former habits and frustration.

However, the natural man does not understand spiritual things ( even though "spiritual" is also cool these days ).  So, I'm taking with a grain or two of salt the admonition of the earthly "powers that be" to not speak out.

"there is a proliferation of homosexuality sympathy which leads to more and more young people ( who are prone to "jump on the bandwagon" or do the "in thing" ) believing that even if it is wrong, it is cool." I agree, and they also have used books like "King and King" to promote homosexuality in public schools to very young age students. Once the lifestyle is fully supported by the government it will only get worse.

@CareyGLY - Hi, thanks for your comment. But I'm not sure what your point is. Are you a straight guy with an axe to grind in support of gay marriage? That's the main idea of the article link.

  • CareyGLY

@templestream - Nope...I just think that article sums up the differences between gay marriage vs. civil unions better than anything I've ever seen written by a gay person.

  • templestream

@CareyGLY - Ok, well consider some of the things he wrote...
“I am a person who believes that people are born gay.” – Fine, every person has a right to his or her beliefs, but one would hope for some kind of scientific or historical examples from him considering his overall tone. My article gives some references and evidence why the statement is pretty dubious at best.

“There isn't one person who is against gay marriage that can give me a reason why it shouldn't be legal without bringing God or their religion into it.” – Not one person? ..How about the entire ATHEIST Bolshevik moment in the former Soviet Union. I posted a link in my article: '"Bolsheviks ‘Gay Pride’ Disaster and its Lesson for America" at this link. I also listed some respected secular historical authors, Polybius, Toynbee, Gibbon, who outlined the connections between homosexuality and the collapse of civilizations.

“I also believe that anyone who says that this is a "Christian nation" has RHS, or revisionist history syndrome - He’s got this completely backwards; the revisionists are the ones who have been methodically erasing the reality God and Christianity from the US history books. Even Wikipedia got this one right… at least until it is also censored: “1842 book The Great Awakening, saw the First Great Awakening as a precursor to the War of Independence . The evangelical movement of the 1740's played a key role in the development of democratic concepts in the period of the American Revolution.[1] The Roman authors read in the Enlightenment period taught an abstract ideal of republican government based on hierarchical social orders of king, aristocracy and commoners. It was widely believed by secular Enlightenment writers that English liberties relied on the balance of power divided between king, elite and commoners, and that social stability required hierarchal deference to the privileged class.[2] “Puritanism … and the epidemic of evangelism of the mid-eighteenth century, had created challenges to the traditional notions of social stratification” by preaching that the Bible taught all men are equal, that the true value of a man lies in his moral behavior, not his class, and that all men can be saved. [3]  There’s more along these lines at Wikipedia, a secular information source.

“these same people would punch me in the mouth if I called Jesus a Jew.”Pretty inflammatory and pretty ridiculous, I don’t know any Christians who doubt Jesus was a Jew and all my Christian friends, and most I know heartily support Jews and Israel in general as I do.

“Since we clearly have a separation of church and state”- This phrase it not from the Constitution but from a personal letter of Thomas Jefferson. In the same letter he defended the freedom of religious expression. The main intent of the founding fathers and the Constitution was to allow for religious expression in all aspects of life, including school and government arenas. This could not be clearer, when one takes some time to read real unrevised history.

All in all, I think the article you referenced plays upon a lot of stereotypes and urban myths and is seriously lacking in references, research integrity and depth. It has more of a propoganda type feel in my opinion.

  • CareyGLY

I appreciate your thorough response, but I'm quite sure we will never agree on this topic.  I will never be able to convince you what I know to be true without a doubt, that people are born gay.  Eventually science will prove it, but until then, as long as you believe otherwise we will never see eye to eye.  Besides, you're a much better debater than I am!

@CareyGLY - It sounds like you have more faith than I do! :))) My faith relates to belief in God and yours to belief in the gay lifestyle..."true without a doubt"..."Eventually science will prove it"

@templestream - Yep, we'll just have to agree to disagree.  Happy Father's Day!
